I have become addicted to rescue horses
recently . The American economy is having
trouble supporting them and they are falling
to the waste side . These are all breeds and
bloodlines , your next world champion just
may come from a rescue farm , that is if you
are not to snobby to take a look . To quote a
great saying from a great movie " Every horse
has a purpose , you don't end a life just cause
its banged up and bruised a little " . That was
from Seabiscut , along with Pharlap it is one of
my favorites . Some of the greatest horses in
history are ones who were given a second
chance . Just read about Well Armed if you
get the chance . He ran in the Dubai world cup
and came out with a chipped knee , while
recovering in his stall he somehow broke his
pelvis , a life threatening injury to a race horse
. The vet wanted to euthanize him but the
owner took Well Armed home and rehabilited
him himself . Well Armed recovered and was
able to walk after 18 months but thats not all
he went onto to win the Dubai world cup after
his injury . I am adding a link to this site that
